Ares fought in the Trojan War on the opposite side of the Greeks to support Aphrodite who caused it even when he promised his mother, Hera, and his sister, Athena, that he would fight for the Greeks. Athena instructed one of the Greek warriors to hit Ares in the side and when it happened he screamed so loud the Earth shook. He then complained to Zeus, his father, who just called him a whine. One of Ares's sons was killed in the war Ares jumped into it defying Zeus's orders of no God or Goddess attending the war.
